Clare has worked as a veterinary nurse for over 25 years, gaining her qualification in 1999. She has worked in first opinion practices, a charity hospital and an out of hours emergency provision. Her main interests are medical nursing, feline friendly practice, quality improvement and exotics. She enjoys mentoring students and has coached many team members through their veterinary nurse training as well as Maths at GCSE level. In 2022 she enrolled in a Masters in Advanced Veterinary Nursing with the University of Glasgow and is currently in her final year, where she is also student representative and runs a support group. Clare is passionate about the future of the veterinary nursing profession. Her aim is to help equip the next generation of veterinary nurses with knowledge, resilience and the skills to navigate an evolving profession.
